Dr. Steven Dansiger

Over the course of his career, Dr. Steve has become a master EMDR therapist, sought-after clinician, and mindfulness thought leader.

He works with creatives, entrepreneurs, executives, government officials, and other high-performance individuals on issues across the spectrum from the personal to the professional.

Dr. Steve is the Founder of HapTech Holdings, the creators of full-immersion sound technology and vibrational footwear. Designed for health care and entertainment uses, the system connects vibrational footwear to headphones through Bluetooth to create a therapeutic effect based on EMDR and mindfulness research, with more applications throughout health and wellness on the way. StartAgain Technologies develops, collaborates on, and acquires applications to deliver through HapTech hardware to enhance the MET(T)A Protocol and add new dimensions to many other health and wellness platforms. StartAgain has also partnered with the NTL Group on cognitive repair solutions. StartAgain partners with other technology companies in health care through their membership in the Connected HealthCare and Wellbeing Cluster and Regional Development Center at the Dundalk Institute of Technology in Dundalk, Ireland.

Dr. Steve maintains a private practice in Los Angeles. He travels internationally as a speaker and teacher of Buddhist mindfulness, EMDR therapy, the MET(T)A Protocol, trauma, Buddhist approaches to treating mental health issues, digital health innovation, and clinician self-care.

Steve graduated in 2022 from the Master of Health Care Innovation (MHCI) program at the University of Pennsylvania. There, he studied and collaborated with fellow students and faculty, including doctors, nurses, academics, researchers, and administrators, to continue his quest to find innovative solutions to broaden access to mental health care and wellness. He is a founding member of the Society for Health Care Innovation.

Dr. Steve played CBGB and Max’s Kansas City in the late 70s; played drums in a toy rock band, became an international social justice and diversity educator and rocker again in the 90s; and is now a sought-after coach, consultant, trainer, clinician, author, and meditation teacher. As a coach, Dr. Steve works with creatives, entrepreneurs, executives, government officials, and other high-performance individuals on issues across the spectrum from the personal to the professional.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Steve has become a master EMDR therapist and provider of EMDR Training and Advanced Topics Courses with the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. He is a pioneer in the Buddhist recovery field, incorporating Buddhist teachings within the framework of healing. He has practiced Buddhist mindfulness for over 30 years, including a one-year residency at a Zen monastery. Dr. Steve teaches dharma classes regularly in Los Angeles and at centers around the globe.

He is the creator and founder of the MET(T)A Protocol (Mindfulness and EMDR Treatment Template for Agencies) which utilizes mindfulness and EMDR therapy to create a mental health agency’s primary clinical practice system. The protocol is spreading internationally, and its use is expanding to corporate and government applications.
